Asteroid Twice As Big As the Empire State Building Flying Past Us Next Week

Even if 2020 and 2021 have us a little jaded when it comes to fear, it should still be noted that an asteroid twice as big as the Empire State building is going to fly past our planet next week!!!

This asteroid with a name that sounds like a used car, the 1999 RM45, is being classified as "potentially hazardous" by NASA since it's going to fly past us at around 45,000 miles per hour.

It's also going to come pretty close to earth, astronomically speaking, whizzing by us from about 1.8 million miles away on the evening of March 2nd.
