It's been nearly two years since Popeye's started a chicken sandwich war, with McDonald's, KFC and Wendy's all stepping up their game by introducing premium poultry items.
Now, an unlikely chain has entered the war; Taco Bell. The taco chain's teasing the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco - served in flatbread with a crispy piece of tortilla chicken and chipotle sauce. There is also a spicier version that comes with jalapenos.
Taco Bell's Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco will cost $2.49 when it tests in Tennessee and North Carolina next month.
...and warning, Popeyes: Taco Bell says this isn't its only chicken menu item on the way.
