For some reason donkeys kind of have a bad rep., but in actuality they are super cute and rather useful. Oh and there is an event all about them in Colorado this weekend!
Longhopes Donkey Shelter in Bennett, Colorado is having their FREE open house tomorrow from 9 a.m. until noon. The event is described on their Facebook page like this;
"FREE Open house at Longhopes Donkey Shelter! Come out and see our facility and meet our amazing donkeys! You will be able to pet the donkeys and learn about them and about Longhopes from our great staff and wonderful volunteers. We will also have a tack sale with everything from saddles and bridles, blankets, halters, buckets etc. Parking is available on-site. Very light refreshments will be available. Kids of all ages are welcome but sorry, NO dogs."
